In the second half of 2013 we implemented a complete reconstruction of the roof cladding on the sugar silo in Moravskoslezské cukrovary, a.s., odštěpný závod Opava. The facilities are located in Palhanec u Opavy less than 1 km from the headquarters of our company.
Our company implemented the roof repair as a turn-key-project. The project was exceptional because of its height when the upper point of the roof cladding was in a height of 42,5 m and because of the overall scope of the work where in the first stage we had to gradually dismantle the original roof cladding, remove the damaged underlying structure, which had to be replaced with a new structure and subsequently to cover the entire open area with new roof cladding.
Our company implemented the complete reconstruction of the roof cladding of the silo and the work that was demanding especially from the safety point of view while all the work had to be carried out using fall protection systems within just 3 months.
